iZotope Nectar 2 is a set of tools designed primarily for voice.
Harmony Module
– Add Harmony to your voice with the new Harmony module. Nectar 2’s Harmony module will generate in-key harmonies using the lead vocal as a guide. Or, you can create custom harmonies by adding notes with your MIDI controller.
Plate Reverb
– Nectar 2’s reverb is modeled after the EMT 140 plate reverb. This Reverb module captures the distinctive character of the EMT 140 while adding controls that were physically impossible in the original device.
Pitch Editor (Production Suite)
The new Pitch Editor plug-in, bundled as part of the Nectar 2 Production Suite, makes manual pitch correction simpler than ever. Nectar 2 inclues a new interface for graphical pitch editing and improved visual feedback, all within a resizable window.
Breath Control (Production Suite)
The new Breath Control module automatically removes unwanted breaths from your recordings. Separate breath sounds from sung or spoken vocals with intelligent detection while keeping the vocal sounding natural.
FX Module
The new FX module includes 7 new effects that allow you to reimagine your sound.

– Distortion Effects (Overdrive and Decimate)
– Modulation Effects (Phaser, Flanger, and Chorus)
– And time-based Repeat effects (Shred and Rollout)
Presets
Includes 150 new presets in genres like Pop, Rock, Hip Hop, Indie, Jazz, and Voice Over & Dialogue. Each preset is a custom configuration of Nectar 2’s modules, giving you a professionally designed effects chain for immediate results, along with the power to edit and customize as you please.
De-Esser
Remove unwanted or exaggerated sibilance using Nectar 2’s modeling inspired DBX 902 De-Esser.
- Reduce sibilance consistently, regardless of your vocal’s changing volume, through Nectar 2’s intelligent processing.
- Customize the “ess” detection by making adjustments with the Frequency control.
- Check the impact of gain reduction and other settings through new metering views, then adjust to taste.
EQ
Nectar 2’s EQ adds tonal clarity and presence a variety of filter options, and a flexible graphical interface.

– New Baxandall filters to transparently dial in a subtle bass cut or treble
– Add EQ shapes with a single node using Pultec-inspired Vintage Shelf filters.
Compressor
Use Nectar 2’s included Compressor to shape the dynamics of your vocal track. Reduce the dynamic range of a recording, make the track more consistent in volume, or increase its average level.
– Choose between four compressor types. (Digital, Vintage, Optical and Solid State)
– Easily mix between two paths simply with Nectar 2’s parallel compression
– EQ your compressed vocals with shelf filters on the second compressor
